Miriam Leah

is a captivating opera singer known for her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence. With a repertoire spanning classic operatic roles to contemporary works and styles, she has enchanted audiences worldwide. Currently based in Berlin, Germany, Miriam brings a blend of technical mastery and emotional depth to every performance. Born in Seattle, Miriam grew up in Florida where she discovered the world of opera through watching the rehearsals of the Palm Beach Opera. Already a performer of pop and musical theatre songs to public audiences by the age of twelve, Miriam was mesmerised from her first exposure to Bellini’s Norma and immediately sought out classical voice training.

Known locally for her impressive voice, Miriam took singing jobs whilst still in school, which later funded a tour of Europe. At age eighteen she sang in Paris, London and Berlin, and spent a lot of time in Italy with performances in Milan, Florence, Venice and Rome.

On her return to the States, Miriam moved to New York, where she was quickly accepted into a young artists programme at the New York Lyric Opera. She was particlularly recognised for the emotional resonance she brought, and still brings, to her performances. This opened the door to Miriam’s opera career as an adult, taking on Mozart and Puccini roles. This culminated in a performance of Suor Angelica at Carnegie Hall.

Following requests from her audience, Miriam’s focus now turned to the studio and recording her voice. To retain full control over her music she founded her own label, Space Opera Studios, and released her debut album, Songs from the Terrace. This features arias that Miriam was performing regularly at the Bethesda Terrace in New York’s Central Park.

Miriam went on to release an album of her own original music, The Favorable Truth. She then performed these songs all around the east coast of America, both singing and playing her own instruments. Miriam’s lyrical storytelling is beautifully presented by her emotive vocals.

Space Opera Studios now moved to Boulder, Colorado, and was opened up to give other artists recording experience. Here, Miriam produced her follow-up classical album, Songs from the Distant Past.

After a period of travel, including performing in Vienna, Austria, Miriam spent the Covid years building Space Opera studios a permanent home in Hawaii.

As travel resumed, Miriam was given the opportunity to sing ina summer opera festival in Berlin. She found herself inspired through her collaborations with other performers and invigorated by the city itself, and decided to pursue her career here. Miriam is currently living and performing in Berlin.

Miriam Leah is not merely a performer; she is a conduit of emotion, a weaver of musical narratives that inspire and uplift. With a growing fanbase and a commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences, she continues to enchant audiences far and wide, embodying the transformative power of music in a world that yearns for beauty and connection.
